No ANA Reports?

I figured that by now someone would have posted a report on the ANA show...something about the show, the courses, a Hooters visit, being invaded by Mary Kat Cosmetics, or something.

Talked with one dealer Friday that said it was too close to the Baltimore show for anything interesting to happen....looking forward to hearing the summary from him re: sales and newps. There were some interesting prices realized from the Heritage sale on IHC/FE cents.

Got to Charlotte too late on Friday to make the show. Spent the night and arrived at the convention center right as the bourse floor opened at 10am. Attendance was OK, but the energy level was very low. I don't know if it was Baltimore burn-out or the War, but everyone was in slow motion. I was looking for some commems and I saw some very nice high end MS67 and higher. But couldn't find any 65-66 (more my price range) that yelled at me to take them home. By 2pm, at least 25% or more of the dealers were packed up. I left without any new coins about 4pm.
  • Sounds like the typical mid-winter ANA show. When was the last time there was a surprise?

dont know what show you were at.....ANA was hoping.....we had a big rush of people Sat afternoon and a BIG crowd of people Sun morning.....you know what Im glad the other dealers are leaving early....they just leave more business for ME image I bought so much stuff from average people walking in on SUN that I had to ship extra packages..... the energy low????? not my section.....sure the energy was low in the middle of the bourse.....why because people made the deals and left....but gee dealers....wake up / stop complaining and work a bit.....it was well worth it for me.....the people were great...the place was great 1000 x better location than the FL winter show ANA had last year.....
