Does the slab background color change perception of eye appeal.

I was thinking about this the other day. If it does, which color would flatter your coin the most?

I would really like a black background for blast white silver and gold....white background for toners.

Black looks good with proof coinage, especially with DCAM coins.

I like the clear slabs of PCGS. I can't stand the white NGC holders, but the new opage NCS are nice.

the white NGC holder accentuates vividly colored coins but i prefer clear holders because i think they help transfer light and that enhances most anything in the holder. it's probably all a mental thing.

also many collecgors/dealers of deep ultra cameo proof coins pre 1915 usually say that ngc holders look better with these types of coins

I prefer the white NGC holders for my toned Peace $ and I also like the white ANACS holders for other toned coins, but the PCGS holders for blast white proofs.
