This is a scan of a genuine type 1 reverse. A genuine type 1 reverse has neck feathers that separate from the shoulder feathers and a berry between the eagle's left talons (viewer's right).
Here is a genuine type 2 reverse. A genuine type 2 reverse doesn't have the berry between the eagle's talons on the right side of the coin, and the neck feathers blend with the shoulder feathers.
The easiest diagnostic to spot on the eBay counterfeit is the mismatch of the neck feathers and the berry under the claw. The fake has type 2 neck feathers (which smoothly blend with the shoulders) with a type 1 berry under the eagle's claw.
I can't believe this guy still has not been shutdown. Every Trade Dollar expert on this forum has pointed him out, and he's been reported to eBay numerous times.

At least somebody is trying to slow this slimeball down.
Here is some additional info on fake trade dollars. Some of these die cast fakes are virtually undectable if you dont know what your looking for. This article points out several marks tht are on every fake, all in the sames location.
I wrote to these folks this morning that had put a bid on this piece o' crappola, and told them this was a fake.(Carla_Bob) they wrote back and thanked me. Why does this guy get away wit this?

Sorry about that!!!!!!! I just had enough time this morning to dash off a quick note and didn't have time to discuss the diagnostics (thanks Shiro!!!!!!!). Shiro was absolutely correct! There are a couple of more diagnostics that I've had to use for really good fakes (like counting reeds!!!) but this one was relatively obvious. Some non-genuine trade dollars that I've looked at were masterfully made. Again, thanks to Shiro for the great pics! keoj

I would be nice to learn why.

I thought a power seller had to have 98% feedback rating.
Maybe I'm wrong, but seems to me someone with this type of rating should be shut down and quick.
I think ebay cares more about it's sellers than its buyers.
This guy even makes Pepperdoodles look good.
Guess that tells us exactly where this seller stands.
Great thread for allerting everyone to the facts and the truth.
