Breen Large cent book (new one)

Mark Borckardt emailed me with four photo problems in this new large cent book that are incorrect:

The photo on page 111 is the same as that on page 108.
Page 301 repeats the photo from page 299.
Page 514 repeats the photo from page 512.
Page 528 repeats the photo from page 526.

This may help some. I have not seen any problems with Sheldons book Penny Whimsy.

There are still several Breen manuscripts out there that have neer been published. I'm still hoping that someone will someday have the courage to publish his Cynics Dictionary.

The biggest trouble with the large Breen books is that they have tendency to fall apart. My encyclopedia and half cent book are now lose leaf volumes. So far my early large cent book is intact.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Your half cent book is comming apart? That's odd because it was really well put together. I've used the living daylights out of mine and although the binding is loose now it hasn't shown any evidence of coming apart. On the other hand I've gone through two encyclopedias. It's basicly a paperback binding with a hard back cover. Use it awhile and the pages start coming lose from the glued binding. The half cent book has a sewn binding like a quality hardbound book should.
