ClausUrch in my Coin Price Magazine it says the BU mintage is 22,948 that is not much at all for a Commorateive. Eunice in Bu is 89,301...dolly has to do better than Eunice.
Total Coins Sold 313,507 The U.S. Mint's Total Coins Sold reflect the final figure after reconciliation of all orders. (Note: The number of coins sold may vary slightly from figures in other numismatic publications.)
I wonder why the mint says one thing and Coin Price Mag and Krause says another...this is not right and misleading. I bought Dolley on the numbers of Coin Price Magazine, this is not good.
It's still a nice Commemorative issue and as long as you didn't try to corner the market on them, there should be no reason not to be pleased with the coin. Traditionally, coins have not been a good investment if that is what you are after.
Claus, yes I love the coin, it is beautiful...but yes I would like to see the coins I purchase go up in value...as this stands Eunice and Dolley will be left behind.

Doesn't breakdown proof vs unc but the totals match my previous post.
