  • Sorry about that. I meant first generation about the slab and not the sample part. We are all learning.image I know I am.

His deception has fooled a fellow board member into bidding.

I always knew that Kool-Aid drinkers and YNs were trouble.
  • Coppernicus,
If you really want to laugh, I have a wav file of most of that scene Here.

Its about 750K, and isn't the greatest quality, but it always makes me laugh (I especially like when the villagers are asked "What else floats in water?" and one of them responds "uhmmm...very small rocks?")

Yep, considering I bought this extremely cheap from my local coin dealer. Dog got a good deal though.

  • And he gets the "good guy" title and me an inoccent young boy who would never misslead anybody doesnt even get a custom title. Is there any justice? (besides aprehending postal inspectors (see other thread)) By the way Carol if you are reading this and want to make a poor lil' boy feel better you can change my title to Munchkin... not that I'm asking or anything, because that wouldnt be polite... (I will forever pester you) image

  • Hmm, board member bad mouths coin on E-Bay, only to turn up the winning bidder.

    keithdagen-
I sent this seller several threatening PMs informing him of his error. His excuse was "I meant...I meant...I didn't know. I'm new at selling sample slabs. I don't know much about them." Likely excuse huh, Keith. We've heard that before. Don't let his fresh young face fool you guys.
So I took it upon myself to save us by removing this problem from the market. image

  • When I saw this thread I was going to ask Dog to go easy on the seller because "after all, how many of them REALLY know the proper attributions for the sample slabs". Then I saw who the seller was. Accept no excuses Dog! He can't plead ignorance, he has an advance copy (CD-ROM) of the book!

Hey. I don't know what to say. PCGS is cool.

It dosen't make me an expert. I will be perfect and a Good Guy from now on. Slow boat to your house on this coin.image

    Cameron Kiefer
  • Cameron is a Good Guy, and any mistake in listing was purely unintentional. I say that Dog97 was trying to denigrate the coin to get a better price. He probably bullied the other bidders to make them stop bidding against him. image

  • I agree Keith. I got ripped off.image Poor YN's always loose in the long run.

I see my winning bid was not going to last and dog97 wanted to protect me from bidding again with his bid with only 3 seconds to go!

Yeah I see how you all are. All you young hoodlums sticking together. Gang up on the dog and poke sticks at him.
I have to post questions about slabs on the board for answers and he has an advance copy (CD-ROM) of the book!
I warp speed paid you by PayPal, I expect my Sample Slab in my mailbox no later than Friday. Insured too.
Why haven't you given me good feedback yet?

kiefercoins: If his dog97's paypal l payment bounces keep me in mind as the underbidder. I would even match his price.

Of course dog97 now has to find me one of those slabs for my slab collection!!! image

  • Don't worry orville, that particular sample slab type isn't too uncommon. The earlier PCGS 1S1 seems to be much tougher.

Well the little guy did it!
Friday morning it was in my mailbox!
