1921 Peace Dollar ANACS Satin Proof 63 (just the coin)

I'm not sure how many ANACS has holdered but NGC has holdered just 12 pieces.

I don't think it will even get that many,
That is a beautiful peace dollar, i love the colors (rarely do i like the colors of a peace dollar)
what does this coin run? i'm sure more than i have but i really do like the colors.

Heritage sold one in an NGC Proof 64 holder for $29,325 in April of 2002.

Thanks Adrian, great coin. That high relief dollar is one of the great designs, (they had the right idea in the early 20th century), who needs to stack coins, anyway?

Its a great coin but I think it was cleaned with MR.Clean or some household cleaner at one time.
It has dead luster and splotchy pastel rainbow toning.
Otherwise the luster would be booming.
Pf 63 is about right for an impaired-luster Proof.

I wouldnt mind owning it BTW.

D L - I dont think a conventional silver dip would work in this case if it was cleaned with amomnia like I,m thinking it was.
Some think they can use ordinary jewelry cleaner to clean coins in too.Amomnia is a numismatic nightmare.
Dont use it on any coin unless you want to ruin it on purpose.

Dog97 seems right in this case.Sometimes you WANT to get the holder and NOT the coin.
This is one of those cases.

as per the previous thread on this coin......that plastic aint THAT special.

Undoubtedly another expert who has seen many, many satin proof peace dollars. We are indeed blessed.

It's starting to feel like rec.collecting.coins in here.
