Could the fourth time be the charm for this Teletrade coin?

This is cracking me up. This PR66DCAM Accented Hair is on it's fourth time around:

First listing - $1150.

Second listing - $975.

Third listing - $875.

Fourth listing - $925 so far.

How many times does Teletrade allow a coin to be returned and relisted? And, do these bidders not stop and think that maybe there's a reason this thing has been listed so many times?

  • The bidders may not know how many times it has been re-listed or may not know the series as much as you. I sure don't and would never have noticed or kept track of each occurance.

Teletrade says 3 times and the cosigner gets it back.
Then I guess he can sent it in for another 3 rounds of returns.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

It may not have been returned. It may just have been reconsigned.

Givewn the fact it's "sold" so many times, I'd guess it is a dog (or typical TeleTrash coin).

    Cameron,

One of those sales is linked right in the current auction. That might provide them a clue.image

    Greg,

There's no doubt in my mind that this coin is a dog and that's why it's been listed so many times.

........it looks like a nice coin, aside from the fact that the frost is weak. maybe it's overgraded and really only a $100 coin. what's your take on it, russ??

Don't look DCam to me. Weak & incomplete frost on rev design elements, shield & eagle's leg & tf. Look at the frost inside the 4 in 1964. I wonder if it's been doctored.

My take is that it's a three time loser.
