Here in Metro-Detroit, we have NO snow. The most we have had at one time is 4.5" and it only lasted for about a week until it melted...that was back in early January.
It has only been COLD here with no snow!! I think the south has had more than us this year.
Here in Western New York (Buffalo Area) the streets are clear of snow. I can see my concrete driveway and there hasn't been any new snow for about 3 days.

We're snowed in today. The roads are totally impassable. Still 50 MPH winds here at the north Jersey Shore. Don't know how bad the flooding is. If you see TV crews reporting from Long Branch, or Sea Bright, thats the area where I live. Its THAT BAD here.

The snow has stopped in Washington DC and Silver Spring Md, where I am. We had 2+ feet and it will take a couple of days before things get back to normal. I expect that schools will be closed at least tomorrow. I am hoping to be able to go into my store tomorrow and may try to get to the supermarket today. I have relatives visiting from NJ, but I am sure that they will not even try to go home until tomorrow, as well.

It was fun walking the dog this morning -- NOT! She loved the strong winds and the whipping snow, but I had a very hard time dealing with the stinging on my face.
I just tried to back the Explorer out of the garage and could not. Trudged up to the street and quickly decided we will have to wait until the street gets plowed. My daughter remembers being out of school for a week during the last storm in 96.

Looks like the worst is over here in Pittsburgh, and that white stuff is only pretty for the first 2 or 3 hours, then it becoms a real PIA...I think every muscle in my body is sore from spending the past 18 hours shoveling (well 30 minutes of work, an hour of break). I sure hope that the Allegheny Mts knock most of it down for the sake of all you New Yorkers! I just wanna lay down now.......
Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on Earth to be young at heart? And as rich as you are, it's much better by far, to be young at heart!
Well all of the snow is still on the ground here in southern Indiana and they have already cancelled school for tomorrow. Hopefully we will not be out of school for to many more days or we will be going to school in the summer. Cosmic Debris if you would rather me use a different icon I will change it to something else. The only reason I used that icon was because I could not put up my own icon due to image problems.
Looks like we're in for the snow rounds this time. Southern Missouri, NWS calling for 5-8 inches Sunday. I like snow, so it doesn't bother me at all. I would love to have been in the places where they got 3 feet Monday...that would have been interesting. The most I've seen in one storm is 21 inches.
If we get 6 inches this weekend, we will be right at 3 feet for the season (36 inches). Our "average" is 18-21 inches per season.
This is why I live in Houston. Haven't seen the stuff in years. We get flakes about once a decade. Never sticks though.....62 degrees and raining here.
