It is unusual although not unheard of as I've owned two with rainbow colors. Not real sure about this one though.

Disclaimer: I am not an AT expert, but am just giving my opinion.

It looks AT to me. Very difficult to tell on this one, but it almost looked like somebody put a dime on top of the coin and below it and stuck it in the oven. I just don't know. Looks AT to me.

Once again, this is just my opinion.

It does look almost "too perfect" the way it is toned in an almost perfect circle. It had to be somehwere for a LONG time for that to happen.

Its cool. I'm gonna go for it....I think......

I think the toning looks real. Nickels tone that way when they were stored in the old albums sold by Wayte Raymond. Pretty hard to get an AT coin where the colors flow into each other like that.

My gut tells me that this is a coin that has been harshly cleaned a long time ago and retoned. Look at the unusual brilliance in the center of the coin inspite the fact that it shows wear - I'd be leery of this one.

These pictures are an EXCELLENT example of how lighting can be used to highlight what you want. The toning shows up very well (I think), but in getting that, the seller has lost a realistic view of the coins strike and wear (I think). Its just hard to tell about the state of the coin, other than the really neat toning (which may be [Artificial])

I think it is real. Probably in an album for a long time.

If what appears to be light purple is really an auburn then the toning is real as far as I am concerned. I have seen a fair number of toned Liberty nickels with this type of toning.
