Guess the grade - Raw 1954 Proof Jefferson

Guess the grade - Raw 1954 Proof Jefferson

I know nothing about nickels and haven't a clue if this is any good, and...
If I ever decide to submit this (i will if you people think it's worth it) i'll give something to the first person who guesses the correct grade that pcgs will grade it.

thanks

Looks like it has a little color, and some cameo. The obverse pic kind of obscures the right field, so I would be guessing. When you get time, I'd love to see a bigger pic though.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say PR67........looks like it may have some nice color to it, which I think adds 1 point for eye appeal.

  • image Is the reverse doubled? The photo could use an enlargement, as the lettering and the Monticello doesn't look right?

  • I agree...we need a better pic...but...

It looks PR63 to me...but its going to get a bump for the beautiful toning, so I'll be the 2nd or 3rd to say PR64.

  • Pf-62 looks weakly stuck and the toning dosn't look good enough to get a bump in grade.
  • I must be getting better! After my first look I thought PR 64, then Cameron says PR 64!

Though I might like it better in a different photo... It still seems like it wouldn't be worth slabbing.

I agree with Carl and Cameron: PR64 (shot 65).

Query whether you might want to put the slabbing fee toward a nicer example? They can be had pretty cheaply up to PR67.

  • So I guess the concensus is a 64, which means it's definitely not worth slabbing. I didn't really think so either, but who am I to say. Actually i wasn't even taking these pictures to post here but rather the penny. Copper is incredibly hard to get a picture of it seems.
    Thank you everyone image
And congrats Cameron at being the first to say 64.
