An unsolicited endorsement from a voracious Lincoln collector

I wanted to "send props" to "one of our own" for what I think is one of the best sights out there for Lincoln collectors (and other coppers obvioulsy, but my experience is fairly limited to the Lincoln series).

Charles is putting together a simply marvelous site, with features I haven't found at any other, and content that is, quite simply, unmatched. As a *former* webmaster myself (of a site devoted to REAL geeks, Microsoft Certification candidates), I know the amount of time and effort it takes to build a site on this scale. There is no real money in it, and it is done almost purely out of a love for your subject, and a desire to share what you know. Articles such as the counterfeit 55 DDO which he shared with us yesterday are unique, and one of the features that make me check coppercoins.com regularly.
My thanks to Chuck for coppercoins.com, and all of the long hours, POUNDS of coffee, and ongoing frustration I know he battles daily. And my recommendation to any copper collectors who haven't visited his site yet, GET THERE!. It gets better and better every day

Thanks a bunch for the kudos, it really is meaningful to me to know that others understand and appreciate the torture I put my wife through in working on this site day and night just about every day of the year. As for what's to come, I intend on spending a good deal of the Spring working on getting photos taken and added to the site as well as a topic here and there like the struck counterfeit 55 DDO article I was able to add yesterday. The BIG thing is that this is a group effort between myself and all the people out there who have helped, are heping, and will help in the future. Every time someone sends something in for me to look at, I look at it as a learning experience and think about ways to improve the site even more. There are a thousand things I haven't yet had time to do that will be done in the future, and you can bet if I live to see it completed it will be...it's the #2 passion in my life just behind my family.
As support pours in from every direction I see more and more that I am filling a gap that has been in the hobby for some time now, and I feel very comfortable and happy I have a place...I feel like I belong when I'm chatting with people about Lincolns. The site is an extension of my need to communicate my passion with others, and provide information and help to those who are just now getting into it. The information age has allowed us to connect and to learn in ways that weren't imagined when I started collecting - heck, even ten years ago! People can learn only as much as is put out there, and I want everyone to be informed who has an interest - without having to pay $500 for books to learn it. I saw that someone needed to learn to publish the info on the web, so I did it. And I could be none the happier that I did, and am receiving help, support, and friendship for it. A community effort to publish a community site. It's yours, really. Enjoy! And thanks!
