someone help me with this indian cent, quick

I'm wanting to buy this 1908-s indian head cent, but something isn't seeming right about it. Why is the auction so low for this coin. I'm new at this and I thought this was a really good deal, but is it legit?

looks like it may be porous, and it doesn't look very nice whatever the problems. If you just need a filler, then it could be a candidate. If your looking for a nice choice example keep looking.

Please stay away from this coin as it has a boat load of problems. The obverse looks like it was cleaned and later wiped and also looks like it has verdigris. The reverse has what appears to be substantial amounts of tape residue and loads of verdigris. The coin is in sad shape and this date in circulated grades is fairly easy to find and pick up at a reasonable price. If you buy this coin you will lose an enormous percentage of your money. It is a true dog.

The coin is real, but it's corroded, and it's a fairly common date (1908-S is not at all rare). As such it's worth less than $20 in this condition.
