Must have been stored next to some St. Patricks day memorabilia. Has acquired not only the 'luck of the Irish' but the color as well!

There are a few really badly AT Morgans on ebay right now. They are asking ridiculous prices too.

    That is one ugly coin.

Gee , only $1000 takes it. What a bargain. I bet the owner used up a whole box of crayons

on coloring that coin. Crayolas dont come cheap you know.image

WOW! And an 1883-S to boot. I guess they are trying to cover up the rub and get lots of money for the tone job at the same time!

I'm glad it is a 1883-S and not a 1884-S. Still, that is a terrible thing to do. The seller has few negs too. People are just not catching on.

I like this line in the auction:

"Many have asked us for, or about, toned coins. Since coins become toned after they leave the mint due to the specific coins environment, we ask that you look carefully at the the color. If you like the coin please bid, if you do not like the coin please do not bid. Thanks "

Yep, that environment can include all sorts of chemicals!
