Which series looks best in EF.

If you had to choose one series that looked great in EF, which would it be. I love how certain coins take on an interesting contrast with wear that is missing in mint state. Any favorites?

LOL....yeah, I was think Sacs or Barbers. I just couldn't rule out the Lincolns though.

I'd have to say Buffalo Nickles... of the issues from around 1860 to date. I really like bust coinage. Those rarely come in grades above XF.

Two cent coins in problem-free EF with a medium cappucino color (easy on the cream) and just the right amount of slight darkness around the devices to make them stand out well.

in general if they are not too dark an overall good planchets indian cents look for me the best in xf

some silver coinage looks good in xf if higher end xf and not cleared shiny and/or dipped bright and it is thick skinned toned like seared and early silver coins!

Draped bust half dollars look great in XF, especially the 1801-1805 years with the higher relief.

EF is one of my favorite grades on most classics, but I find any well struck Flying Eagle, Barber, or Capped bust in untampered-with EF40-45 especially appealing.
