Newbie Here with a Holy Penny

Hi all!!!
Just joined the forums after lurking for awhile. Was into collecting back when I was a kid and stopped in the early 80's when the price of silver drove me and my little allowance out. I'm starting out again and have many questions that will be asked and after reading the many posts here I think I found the right place. So if any of my question are answered it would be appreciated.
After looking through what was left after I sold half of my collection(down payment for the house) I have come across a couple of coins with some irregularites that i never paid much attention to until now. This one is a 1941 lincoln with what looks like a bubble in it. If any one can give me some insite to how it happened it would be great. My next one involves a 1943 P Washington quarter double die. I'll post a pic as soon as I can.
Thanks Tom
I guess I'm using someone's Icon. I'll put my own up asap as soon as i can figure it out.

Don't know about your Penny.
But wanted to WELCOME you here also.
The doubled die quarter is a really neat find! I'll enjoy seeing a picture when you get it up.
BTW, the icons are general. The admin usually lets us upload icons on the 15th, but most of us use an icon already on the system. ALthough mine is a custom one I added in Nov or Dec. Can't remember.

I just found it unusual because the hole doesn't go all the way through. I thought it might have been a deformed planchet with a gas or some type of material that erroded away.
thanks again
