  • I've seen these and passed each time because of the absolutely pathetic pictures. I've never seen one where you could actually see the coin, and what I could see didn't look anywhere near the description. Glad to know my intuition was right!

  • If you want to really have some fun, send him an e-mail asking a question on a coin he is selling! He will reply with a vulgar in- your-face answer. I have done it on a couple of coins. If he answers everyone this way, I can't see how he keeps selling coins. Just a look at his feedback should alert the normal human being to the fact that there is something wrong with this picture!!!
  • Why anyone would buy a raw coin, with a picture that shows nothing, from a seller with large negs, etc., etc., is WAY beyond me.

Based on the photos, I'm pretty sure the guy is trying to sell Lincoln Wheat cents, all of which are described as follows:

THE COIN HAS A STRONG STRIKE FOR THE DATE WITH FULLY SPLIT CHEEK BONES SHOWING ON THE OBV. AND FULL WHEAT STAULK(sic) LINES SHOWING ON THE REV. CLEARY(sic)..!! THE COLOR IS A NICE ORIGINAL CHOCOLATE BROWN AND THE COIN HAS NO OTHER PROBLEMS TO SPEAK OF..!! A GREAT SCARCE WELL-STRUCK COIN FOR ANY EF+/AU LINCOLN CENT SET..!!

    I'm feeling (sic)!

Is a "fully-split cheekbone" a feature that Lincoln folks recognize and use? To me, it sounds like he's gonna need a good plastic surgeon.
