Wouldn't it be cool if every coin listed in the PCGS Registry set could only appear as a listed coin in a set if a photo accompanied it?
That would do several things for us, the collecting and dealer community.
First of all, it would help show to beginners how incredibly beautiful our coinage can be - a photo is impressive...

...simply listing a coin as "Albany in NGC MS 68" isn't impressive. (And yes, i know ngc coins aren't allowed in the PCGS registry set....yet....and lets please not get off on that tangent....i said please!).
Also, if Joe Blow has the number one set but his coins look like crap, and Sally Sue has the number two set and her coins are totally awesome.....well....that says something too, but you can't tell by looking at listings and yes, i know, some photos are up but the header here said the photo is a prerequisite......
Additionally, dealers who sell inserts first and foremost (and who cares what the coin looks like!) could know who their target audience is (guys who have ugly but highly graded coins) and dealers who sell good coins (Stay! Roll over! Good coin!) could know who might want their inventory list.
Of course their are other benefits, but i have to go now!

To be honest with you there isn't all that much difference between my 1999 proof Jefferson in PR 69 DCAM and my 1998...

Millions on WELFARE depend on you!
PCGS would go far by adding a photo service for a small fee and then posting those photos for those who do not have the ability to do so.
However, I like the idea.
And while we are at it, I'd like to have all non-viewable sets removed from the rankings. The purpose of the registry was to showcase your coins. This defeats the purpose.
Pushkin, I would like to show(case) you my stunning set.

Pretty amazing set. Right? Come on, this is blander than sh*t. If someone wants to use the registry, then they should have to reveal what is in their set.

Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
What makes this country great is the right to decide for yourself what you want to do.
I love to see photos of other's coins and I wish more people would show photos of their coins, but required is simply not necessary.

If you think that would work, your not into coin photography. It would end up looking like a catalog - which is why one still has to travel to the auctions to evaluate the coins.
Now if you would let me take the pics at $10/pop, I'd be all for it!
