Member/Collector/Senior Member/etc.????

Can anyone explain how or who determines what is listed under your id? some people are members, some senior member, collectors...etc...just wondering in NY thanks, Jon

Ranking
Each author is assigned a ranking based on the number of posted messages they have made. The ranking appears underneath the user's name. Below are the current ranks.

Title Posts Required
New Member 0
Member 20
Senior Member 200
Veteran 500
Collector 1000
Expert Collector 2500
Master Collector 5000
Choose Your Title 10000

It's based on the number of posts, unless the board administrator decides to give out special titles.

Actually, you need to add one to those numbers. For example, Senior Member really starts at 201, not 200.

Yes Lucy, when I first posted to this thread my counter was at 499, and when it flipped to 501 it went back and changed the 499 "senior member" to veteran. thus retroactive or as you say "retro". However totally unrelated to music that may be or to coin collecting for that matter. But having now qualified for aarp by vertue of my premature aging, I am now the perfect example of "retro". Ramble,ramble/ramble............
