My trip to the coin store... and JFK hits puberty!
Well,
As I said, it was off to the local shop following my last midterm- history, which went surprisingly well (I reserve the right to revoke that statement when I see my grade
). After finding out I got a 98% on my French exam (woo hoo me!
) I hit the road, for about 3/4 mile until I hit the orthodontist, then to the coin store!
My first request was for some type stuff- he didn't have much, so he asked to be more specific... I then asked for anything from the 1800s... I got a few large cents to look at... one just caught my eye- a nice chocolate brown 1848 cent- in the right light, it has some greens, blues, and reds on the reverse... I had to have it (the scan is a bad one).
After that, I had to think about what more I wanted- finally I decided to see if he still had the toned eagles he had a year ago... long shot chance, but hey... you never know
Lucky for me, he still had them! I couldn't believe it! One is basically the same as the one you have all seen, but the colors are on the flip side of the coin, and they are a little darker and bolder- the other has a subdued turquoise obverse with some pink, and a rainbow reverse with a blue rim- both are gorgeous and also my birthyear, 1987
With no hesitation, I took both, as I wasn't going to let them get away! Too bad the scans suck- you'll all have to wait until I get my digicam (note to you- buying one for me will get your pictures faster
).

My final coin was a kennedy proof... after hitting puberty. It was the first accented hair I'd ever cherrypicked, and actually the only one other than that in my collection (thank's Mr. Russ) that I'd ever seen! The obverse is plain and normal- no real hairlines, no crap... the reverse has lots of dark spots (acne?
), though
Since it was my first cherrypick, I got it anyway- the obverse pictures were too reflective, so I didn't save them- but the reverse is here... any ideas on a dip to use?

Jeremy, in a great mood
