Well, do you?? Are we witnessing a record today??image
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.

Well, it won't be this post since you failed to slander anyone or refer to toning as corrosion. I was afraid to even click on it but now you got me interested...
  • Last weekend there was a troll thread that had about 100 post in about 4 hours. I think it dwindled to around 150 after a couple days.

    Stewart,

Was your "1877" an answer, or were you simply mis-reading the date of the Indian Cent which appears as your icon (it's an 1871 , not an 1877) ? image

Either way, I think you might be mistaken. image

    Just being helpful.

I may be wrong, but I think that "1877" was Stewart's way of getting a rise out of Lakesammman.

Clankeye - was that in one day or overall??

    Hey Stewart:

Everyone knows the key dates in the IHC series are the 1873 S1 and the 1872........

The Moon Landing Conspiracy had over 1800 posts on the open forum but it took a painfully long time to get that long: link.

You had to go and link the moon conspiracy thread, now didn't you! image
There sure is some interest over there at Park ave now, isn't there? image

Well, if the old axiom "There's no such thing as bad publicity" is true, Park Ave. is having a banner day.

Since the IHC Mafia seems to be hanging around this thread - how about sharing a little of your wisdom?

What is a reasonable price range for an AU 1880 Snow-1 with the clash showing well? Just looking for some ballpark estimates. Thanks in advance.

Pushkin - one of the topics brought up at the Fly-In meeting at FUN was adding price info to the variety census report. Hopefully that will be done soon -- it really is tough to find prices realized data for all but the top handful of varieties.

Well Tim, if Doops and DCAM (who I think were twins seperated at birth) post to it, it just might break the moon landing conspiracy record. image
  • <toot own horn>

My ZIP Code map thread had over 400, probably one of the higher ones for the Coin forum. It won't hold a candle to the Open Forum ones though.

It's approaching 200 in 5 hours - gotta be some kind of record. Flames are dying to embers, however....peace is starting to break out.

    Just curious,

What denomination coin are they talking about? A Deep Cameo PR-67 pattern what?

Is there any history of this sort of thing happening over an IHC/Flyer sale - like perhaps a J-206? Somebody got irate and went ballistic over the size of the "chicken eagle" and started airing very dirty linen in public? Maybe dueling pistols are in order, or the aggrieved parties could fight it out with jewelers' loups until one burned the other into submission.

I suspect that for a 24 hour period, it will be a record.....on the other hand, I don't have the institutional memory of the old timers....anyone know what the 24 hour record is??image
