What cheers me up is to either buy a better coin or just let go of coins for a while and come back later. Did that a few times last year during some particularly expensive (for me) learning experiences.

Sell it and move on, o/w it continues to remind you of the mistake. Consider it tuition money and learn from the mistake.

  • I've followed lakesamman's advice before !! After the initial sting and anger from feeling stupid and getting rid of it...you'll feel much better not looking at your "mistake" every day.

I agree, seeing the object of your pain is one of the problems. Get rid of the coin and you will be able to move on.

  • Time heals all wounds. You know, you were born naked, and you'll leave this earth "NAKED" So chalk it up as a learning experience, and go watch a good shoot-em-up western or something. Thoughtfully count all your blessings. If it's really serious you might have remedies that you can't think of because of the emotional block. Talk with someone you really trust.

    One of two things:

1)Track the person down I bought the coin from and throw a pie in their face.

    or

2)Get an ice cream cone that's been dipped in chocolate and try to let it go. I've had lots of ice cream cones and will probably have a lot more before I'm done with coins.

I can't say it any better than Lakesammman did.

  • Sell the coin, learn your lesson and buy another coin.

Another thing that helps is to score on another coin. Find a great deal and it'll always make you feel awesome!
