This is my 57 Mint Set that I am keeping for my collection. I have kept the original outer envelope and packaging but decided to keep the coins in this custom holder. I thought I would share it with you all since I am working with my camera and IrishMike had a thread about 57 Mint Sets yesterday. Clankeye

I still keep my coins in their cardboard spots, unless I've submitted them. Kscope

I love that Franklin as it sports my favorite kind of toning on these halves.
Best not let Lucy see that one!

Hope the answer isn't as obvious as "freddies".

Complete U.S. Mint sets included coins from each mint, "P" & "D" and included two examples of each denomination so as to show off the obverse and reverse.

Really nice pictures and set - Great Job!
Very nice. It looks good in the capital hard plastic. Nice mint sets are getting
harder and harder. Nice scans too.
Brian.
Very nice capital plastic set ! If that Frankie half is a D mint it would be scarce with nice color. Is the reverse as nice?
Paul
Yes it is a D mint, and yes, the color on the reverse is a match. I agree with you, in searching for 57-D's as singles, I have rarely encountered them with real nice color.
Carl
good with that camera.
Brian.
I would send that 57d to PCGS and replace it with another mint set coin. With Nice color on both sides it would be worth slabbing. imo
Paul
I know that half would grade at least 65, probably 66 FBL. But, I am keeping the set for the long haul. And some day I do believe these original double mint sets will be very, very, very hard to find.
