You may not like Heritage but.........

I have not had any real issues with Heritage but I know hat many here have.
However, credit should be given where credit is due. The database of prior auctions (with images!!!!!) is by far the best. Easy to search (not tonight...they are down for maintanence), prices paid, etc. is indispensible when trying to do price searches and variety searches. I spent time trying to do a little research and its the best.

The best coin website, in a league of their own and alone. No one even close.
Variety
Lots of auctions / sales/ inventory
Fun auctioneers
-
Mercurial website, often omits coins which have traded and are in the database
Terribly disorganized
Half a dozen business office employees with swelled heads
Marginal images
I give them a B+ leaning towards an A-

has population figures from PCGS, NGC and ANACS incorporated into it.....
has bluesheet, greysheet and Trends prices incorporated into it.....
has auction results from Heritage as well as Bowers and Merena, Superior, Teletrade and other auction companies in it.....
has a master want list that not only shows all of the above coins and values but shows who is looking for them and the range of grades and prices they're willing to pay....
and more! Let your imagination run wild.....all it would take would be a point man to put it together and more money in the form of monthly payments by the users.
Yes, maybe not all of it could be incorporated into the Heritage site but I would be willing to pay good money to have all this info and more in one easy to use place and Heritage could be the folks to put it together.
Some businesses not wanting to put their info on the Heritage site would be the real losers. Heritage could use the money they collect from us for monthly user fees and pay the various entities to have the info on the paid heritage site. Some businesses might actually provide the info for free, others would want to be paid, others wouldn't want their info on the Heritage site.

Another site I use is Askart.com. They have prices realized on art work, biographies, art for sale, art wanted, museums featuring the artist, dealers specializing in this artist, etc. It's worth the subscription price (started as a free service until they got rolling and I got hooked - now $20/month.)
Time is money and a site that saves time is worth money.
Heritage is a very well run big (BIG) coin operation. Their web site is the gold standard for the industry. Their auctions handle a significant share of the rare coin inventory. They are professional and provide good service. As would be expected from such a large organization , bigness results in some loss of intimacy. if contacted however they will accomodate you.
Hmmm. You may have something there, Lakesammman.
