Just got done reading this article. I wonder if this forum will grow a little as a result of the article.

Yes, there will be at least a little growth spurt.
I'm surprised they even mentioned googlegroups- - that place is a wreck.

  • Can someone who has read it provide a short summation of what was said?

It's a beginners workshop article and they give an overall description of what the boards are
about and then list the various boards and some specifics about them. About us they only say that
countless topics await visitors. But it does give people a road map to get here.

  • Okay, I just read it. Sent to me by a selfless, wonderful forum member. Proving one point in the article that there are always people willing to help you out on the boards.

As for the article itself, a kind of colorless overview. I think there is a much better article waiting to be written about the forums than that.

If this is to be a vote there is no doubt who would win.

Googlegroups is a search engine. I suppose you mean rec.collecting.coins?
It's really a good core group, with some trolls and troublemakers recently. It's not moderated, so the riff-raff rolls in from time to time.

Darn, my coin world is late again. I don't get mail here on Saturdays so I will have to wait until Tuesday. 2 weeks ago it got lost and never came. I'll have to keep waiting.

You're no doubt right Barry, but frequently recently I leave in disgust after
opening it up. There is some intelligent and insightful discourse if you can
    get through the profanity.
