Russ - in his typically 'anal' way - is putting together a VERY tasty set too. All primo examples of MS-64. Might not get some people excited... but they're very, very nice.
Russ, In my opinion you are not only collecting coins that are beautiful (Walkers and Franklins) but also collecting coins that have a tremendous potential to advance in value. I bet you could assemble several short sets of Walkers at current prices in MS-64 and make some serious money in the near future.
When and if the new collectors that have recently entered the market start expanding into the obsolete issues, I expect Walkers, Franklins, Mercurys, Buffalos and Indians to be the first choices because they can still be had in aestheticly pleasing grades at a modest cost. Short Set Mercs and Walkers leading the price advances.
I also agree with your selection of the grade of MS-64 Blast White! The San Francisco minted Walkers in the Short Set have a large spread between MS 63 and MS 65. If I were a speculative investor, I would be actively buying these in white 64.
I've checked out your site and viewed your coins. You certainly seem to be picking up PQ coins for the grade. I do love those Walkers........

heheh... you would FREAK if you knew how much money I'd made off his stock picks alone! Suffice it to say... I owe... big time. This guy knows his stuff. I don't know HOW - I just know he does. over the years... time and time again - it's been proven. I don't even question it anymore.
I'm warming up to Walkers. it'll be a cold day in Hades before I buy a Shriver Commem, but the Walkers... Very nice.
Russ, that's a fine looking coin, but what I'm really in awe about are your skills with a camera. Good pics, I'm starting to take it for granted when I click on one of your threads, but the photography is great.
That is a very nice one for grading just MS64. I would have to see it up close to know why it didn't get a MS65. I completed the short set in MS65 with a few MS66. Now I'm working on the mid set from 1934. Oh, I did get the 1941-S in MS64. I think it is way overpriced right now in 65.
