A cavalcade of Two Cent pieces.:)

Been shooting my raw ones, thought I'd share.









All are in the VF to EF range, except one of the 1865s, which I think might be AU, and the 1870, which I'd say is a net Fine after accounting for porosity. Too bad on that 1870, because otherwise it's a nice coin. Bought it before I knew how to tell with such things.
One of the 1864s is also rotated 180.

For these I used a single 40 watt Reveal overhead at about 18 inches and about 10 inches back from the coin. Anything more than that seems to overpower old copper.

I found that a green background comes closest to bringing out accurate colors on old copper.

enjoy the collector 2cs.... one of my favs. dumped a m63 by ngc, looked like I drug it hin da jeep. replaced it with m60 raw. stuffed the leftovers into comms.
GET YA 2 CENTS WORTH AT LEAST ONCE !
