Thanks, Bruce. The coin from Larry S. is technically an eight but lacks the "wow" toning, to get the nod. You've probably seen it. This one, from Larry W. does have "the look" but is probably (just) a true 7. Congrats on MANY GREAT COINS in your set.
RegistryCoin-- I think you are right. This issue doesn't get much prettier than that. I look at these coins the same way a lot of people do Washington Carvers. I don't appreciate the design much. But, when presented with an example like this... I can talk myself into liking it.

Sadly, the same can be said for many of the classic commem designs. If it weren't for beautiful toning, nothing could save them.
Congrats on that pickup, RC. That's a beauty to be proud of.
Thanks for all the nice comments. I divide commems into three major groups, BW, Monster toned, and Otherwise toned. I have always liked the b. white ones, I've come to appreciate ones with attractive light toning, rim toning, etc., but not yet become a fan of most Monsters. I'll admit it may be due to the prices of the monsters, but, even if I got 'em for free, they just don't tickle my fancy. ...and the appreciation of toning is all about tickling one's own fancy, imho.

I like it!!! Great coin!
In fact, I'd venture to guess that one is more attractive than the lone MS68 that is out there.
Now, do you own it?!
