The Sac Dollar sample is the only one I've ever seen, although I'm certain there are probably others. The rest I picked up here and there.

Cheers,

Bob

Those are cool. The Morgan insert has 1921-like a P mint- but it has a mintmark. Is it S?
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Dog,

It's actually a "D" mm. I don't think any of them had the mm on the label. Good catch!

  • This is a prototype slab made for the ANA when they re-holdered their grading set. They never used this special label and this is the only one known that I know of. A grade on the slab without a coin! Had to show everyone:

Impressive "sample slabs". The only ones I have had the fortune/misfortune to acquire have been lincoln cents or state quarters.

    Hey Cameron,

I would thunk the "YN Trivia" slab is something you would keep. image

No he is a greedy little yoot.
  • I am not greedy! I said in my post:

As for the ANA slab, I could not sell it. It is the only one known and I was lucky to get it. Sorry.

  • How come you never showed me that slab before? What does the back of it look like? I've already snagged the picture of the front for the second edition. image And if you ever do decide to sell it make sure you notify me! That would be a nice addition to the reference set.
  • NGC contacted me this last summer after they found out I had it. They said that I shouldn't have the slab due to "security reasons." I never gave I back though. After talking with a few people, I thought how can this small piece of plastic hurt their security? It is sealed and no one can put a coin in it without cracking it first.
