I think this is a great idea! I'm leaning towards a CUI pin of some sort, but if you all think it would be more fun to have temporary-type name badges with your handle, we can do that as well.
If you are planning to attend the Long Beach Show, why don't you respond to this post and let me know you will be there and what kind of identification you would prefer. I will plan to have the badge or pin waiting for you at the PCGS booth.

Hi BJ, I will not be at Long Beach...too far from Ohio. I will be in Baltimore in July and would really like a CU pin or whatever to identify myself at shows. Forum members get together at many various shows and this can only help in that regard.
<< <i>Awe come on Jeremy fire away, you're a good guy MOST of the time so you're allowed one wisecrack now and then. >>

Sorry- I didn't see those a while back... MDWoods said
<< <i>NO HATS!!!! They always buy those "one size fits all" kind, and they never fit my big noggin. All those brains ya know. >>
Some comebacks could be: "Brains? A brain ain't reflective and I see that sparkle in your eyes when a light is shined in your ear." "One size fits all, smart one... who and what are you, anyway?" "If you got brains, I'm the queen of England! And hey- I'm no female!" "Assuming your head weighs that of a normal person, then as it expands, the volume, but not mass increases- therefore, everything in your brain is far away from everything else... which could explain a few things" (for the scientifically inclined)
I'm tired... but could do better if the quote just came at me fresh...
An excellent idea long over due. I'll be at the Long Beach Show and I'll take a pin, and a name badge, one of those hats, a couple of donuts, a few sample slabs, one whole fried chicken and a coke.
BJ, i won't be @ L.B. but i think the pin/slab would be a great idea, i had to tape a sign on my table so other members could find me at the Ritchfield, Ohio show this past Nov. How about a Pcgs slab with our usernames and icons drilled for a neck chain? just a thought.
BJ.. I'll be at the Long Beach show. I like the pin idea, but I don't think it would be too noticeable. Perhaps a name-tag would work better. Something that stands out in a crowd so it can be easily seen in passing, but not something to outlandish where everybody and their mother asks what it means.

1 Russ POTD!
I'll be there most likely. My username is fine, as I'm sure I'll have a name badge already. Great idea!
