I'll post this thing here and then after a few comments, hopefully, I will give a comment or two about what I think about this coin.

It has always been my experience that the bands do not have to be fully rounded and absolutely complete for the coin to be FB. It's FB if the bands are split all the way across without breaks....with no regard to whether they are round.

Hits or knicks over a seam will preclude a dime from being considered for full bands. I asked that question of David Hall in the question and answer forum, he responded with the fact that the slit has to be 100% through any interuption will cause the coin to not be full band. (Not his exact words, but his message).

First POTD 9/19/05!!
The Date is......Hmmm, think I will hold off on that also as it may just be a dead give away to the answer. The PCGS grade is MS66 though.

The coin is a 1945 Micro S PCGS MS66 coin. No FB but they are Fully Split, weakly, but still Fully Split. A few years back and this would have been in a FB holder. It is actually stronger than a couple of other Green Holdered Dimes I have. Another comment I think I will give is that this coin is the second fairly expensive S mint coin that I have obtained that did not get the designation. Not griping mind you but it does at times seem strange that this does happen to certain coins within the series. BTW this is also a example of strongly struck coins that can be bought for a fraction of the FB coins. A Great deal in my book.
Thanks for the comments folks. It was a pleasure reading all of them.
