Toned- Booker T. Washington

This coin is attractively toned with blues greens and gold. I saw this one at a show some years ago.

I already had a Gem untoned one at home with a clear cheek and even though the cheek on this one is somewhat baggy I feel in love with the colors...

Laying the two coins side by side I still prefer this one...

  • Gemini--

That is beautiful toning for a Booker T. Guys such as myself who appreciate the series flip for toning like that.
    A great coin.

With a "look" like that, you can overlook a little bagginess. Nice coin.

I'm sorry MrKelso I really don't the answer to your question on how this coin may have been stored.
It was just in a regular ordinary flip when I bought it and the pretty colors were already on it...

I also thank the board members for your nice comments...

  • Nice coin. I think some cheek roughness is normal on this date, think of it as stubble. image

Does anyone have an image of this issue WITH pristine surfaces, OR, do they just not exist? Sure would like to know what the first coin off the die looks like.

Gemini, yours is a fantastic example. I've just never seen one that isn't somewhat "rough" looking.
