The toning is called bag mark toning,
The term is "bag toning" rather than "bag mark toning". Also, "bag marks" are the nicks and scuffs from the coins hitting each other while in the canvas bags as they are moved around. Bag marks are also called "contact marks".

I would have a Morgan dollar expert examine them in hand before making any decision on whether to crack them out or send at a cross or keep them where they are.
These photos are doing you a diservice.
Hi, and welcome to the Forums! And, WOW... a Blast from the Past thread... I think I even saw @dorkkarl 's handle!
Anyway... Unfortunately, as @TomB indicated, I also think this is Artificial Toning (AT) meant to emulate bag toning or roll toning. The later images look to be an artifact of lighting in the photographic process (the enhanced bullseye effect). The images you found of PCGS certified "toners" also have cartwheel luster in the fields. I don't see that on your coin, but as others have already indicated... it's probably best to send the coin in (raw or not) and have it evaluated by a professional. Best of luck, and whatever happens... please let us know how it turns out... best of Luck!

The progression of colors on the 89 is not normal and the yellow looks off on both coins. Although its a photo, I'd have to agree and lean towards AT on both. Also neither appears to be GEM. Good luck.
Me I was happy of my return on cross. # 2 63 come 64, one 64 come 65 and 3 67 Segs come 66. For me was an winner order. this happened 2 to 3 years ago.

The subject coin looks artificially toned (in each and every picture).
