I'm going to hold a charity sale over on the BST soon...

(Note: if you think this should be on the BST, and I can understand that thought, I have chosen to post it here because I think this will get the attention that it deserves.)

If you all remember a few weeks ago, I finished my research project on pancreatic cancer and also pledged to repay the generosity of the board members by making a donation to the RSH Memorial Foundation for Pancreatic Research located at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Along with the original amount that I had planned to donate, I have decided I can get some more by selling a bit of my collection. I have already been given an offer by one board member (to remain anonymous at the moment) to add some coins to the sale.
If anyone here would like to add money to the donation or add to the sale, whether you want to send me the coins and I'll take care of shipping, or if you want me to list it in the sale thread with you as the contact, shoot me a PM. Unless otherwise requested, all members will remain in my strict confidence.
If this works well, maybe we can make this a more common event- maybe monthly/bi-monthly? Think of the money we could raise for various causes!

A very Urgent cause KK if they can find a way to stop this type of cancer then who knows what else they might find. It is a great way to help and it's tax deductable to boot.

1500 from cancer each day.; 29,000 from pancreatic cancer each year... here are a few more facts...
Pancreatic Cancer is the 5th leading cause of cancer-related death in the US (29,000/year)- it is also only 2% of reported cancer cases in the United States Federal Funding for pancreatic cancer vs. "worse" cancers like pancreatic cancer is the difference in cost between a G-4 1907 IHC and a VF 1877 IHC...
The government isn't funding enough, but we can help.
