I like em both!!!! I'll be happy for either team. Miami is AWESOME and Ohio St. seems to be a team of destiny...... I have to admit, I am leaning towards the Canes.... Lets hope for a super showing from both teams......

WAY too much team speed on Miami! This game is over before half. All Ohio State can do is say O-lay, swivel a bit and watch as McGahee runs by for another first down. This time next year Miami is STILL undefeated and playing for the opportunity to win another National Championship (a 3-peat) and the record for longest winning streak in NCAA history!! Sorry 'bout that OU.

Not a very big fan of either of these teams but it has been a very good game so far...I was expecting a blowout by halftime. OU will at least cover the spread, damn I knew I should have thrown a couple BUCKS down on this one.

I'm glad for the BCS as opposed to the old popularity poll. But we need a playoff. I'm sure that neither one of tonight's teams would want to face USC next weekend.

By the way, when they do coin tosses at the beginning of such games, they usually have a special coin. Anyone know how many are typically minted and are they difficult to obtain?

OK, as a Registered Voter in Florida, I demand a recount!!! I'm sure I saw some hanging chads sticking out of theat zebra's pocket (you know, the one that blew the pass interference call in the end zone that would have given Miami the victory).

Ohio State played a great game and deserve to be number one. It just hurts to say it

The interference call in the end zone was bad, but the missed intereference call on Miami late in the 4th quarter on on a play where the receiver made the catch anyway but was called incomplete was worse. They call that one right and OSU runs out the clock on 'em and I get to bed earlier.

Before you OSU fans start throwing trash at me, let me state that I'm an ardent FSU fan and I despise Miami with a passion....That said, the phantom interference call that allowed OSU to win the trophy was, under the circumstances, the single worst call in College Football history.
First, it was not even close to being interference. Second, no competent referee can make a "borderline" call on the last play of the National Championship Game, in overtime, on fourth down. The call must be blatant -- this wasnt. Third, if you do make such a ridiculous call, throw the flag immediately, don't wait 5 seconds while the field floods with people.
In summary, this was not a bad call, this was an "unbelievable" call. This was a call so bad that my first (and second) reaction was to wonder about the official involved???
OSU played a great game (better than most ever thought they would) and Miami played poorly...Still, Miami "won" the game until OSU was given life after death. Sadly, OSU's victory is forever tainted. That's a shame for a top-notch, very talented team (which OSU is) to have an * beside their trophy.
As for the Canes, having been done in by unprecedented, ludicrous refereeing, I hope their problems compound, their most talented Juniors all leave for the NFL, and their best High School recruits decide against going there because of the loss!!

there were some questionable calls both ways but that call was no more lame than some of the calls on the one OSU defender several times.

I wonder what the refs would do if they didn't have any change?? I guess they could have tossed Ken Dorsey and called him in the air.

Usually when there is a special coin for the game the announcers will show it and tell what it is........my guess is that it is just one of the zebra's (I liked that term) pocket piece.

Btw if refs make correct call on 3rd and 6 when Gamble was held, then interfered with, and then made the catch going out of bounds just before big punt return, we run clock out... game over OSU wins. No OT, no call....which in web poll 50% said good, 50% said bad. We just handled bad calls and no calls against us a little better than the Canes. Just to keep legit, now Keets how do I get one of those coin toss coins?
