What Coin Magazines Do You Read?

Part two of my project. I don't read or subscribe to many coin magazines. I'd like to know what magazines, newsletters, etc are out there and which are most popular. WHich are your favorites?

    Me, too.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Numismatic News is the only one I read. My collecting interests are a very narrow US Type Coins though. No World coins, no currency, no tokens, no rounds or even those flattened pennies from fairs and amusement parks.

    I'm so boring...

I get Coin World, the Grey Sheet (the Monthly has some good articles) and the Gobrecht Journal (a must-have for Liberty Seated collectors).

Check out the Southern Gold Society

Coin World, Numismatist, & the Greysheet. Greysheet has a great deal for those of us who don't need to see every issue of the weekly. For $60 a year, they send you one weekly every month, and with it comes the monthly and the quarterly for that month. So in a year you get 12 weeklies, all twelve monthlies, and 12 quarterlies (4 each of the 3 quarterlies). I consider it the best $60 I spend every year on the hobby, absolutely indispensable to have with you at shows, etc.

  • I subscribe to Coin World.....I'll read the others if I can free from the library or my clubs.

COINage, was just reading the 1803 "coin capsule" in this month's issue. I also like the type prices page, easy to tear out and stuff in a vest pocket.

    Numismatic News.

I used to get more, but have narrowed it down to this Numismatic News as I feel it is the best.
