Should I patronize a seller I neg'd?

I bought a coin that appeared to be nicely toned from the picture, but wasn't at all. When I tried to return it, the seller didn't live up to his stated return policy and offered 57c on the dollar.
The guy seems to be more of an idiot than a ripoff, but now he has a coin listed that I'm interested in.
Should I come crawling back to him and buy the coin he has listed now? It's a PCGS slab and toning is not an issue this time.

return policy means to me that if i don't remove the coin from the package i received it in and send it back at my expense within the allowed return period,i should be refunded the money i paid or "won" the item at...subtract ebay fees from the refunded amount if you have too...
57 cents on the dollar refund offer is unacceptable...43 percent "restocking fee?!"...

Dear Sir
(Show his fault) I apologize for the negative feedback but unfortunately and contrary to your stated return policy, you made a bad choice in our last transaction by sticking me with a coin I do not like. (Dangle the carrot here) I wish we could still do business but that's impossible because of the way you conduct your business. There is no way I can bid or make future payments on your coins. The only way we could have any future dealings would be for you to send coins on approvel. Essentually, you have lost
a buyer for your coins and I pay good money for coins I add to my collection. My friend, when the word gets out about the way you conduct your business, it will spread like wildfire and hurt your business 1000 fold. I have already told my story to many collecters and dealers and they in turn will pass the word to more collecters and dealers.
To correct your mistake and because you owe me money, you have another coin I'm interested in. Please pull that auction and send it on approvel. Let me know if your interested in squareing things up with me.
Sincerely,
Remember people, this guy has ripped off a buyer and has his money. This seller may also need a little education. It's foolish to send this guy more money or even to consider it. He may buckle or he may not
but we got to at least make an effort. It would also help if a couple of other collectors knocked on his door to help sink the exact point I'm passing along here. I would like to ask this seller about his return policy and let him know if it is true what I have heard about his selling tactics. And then tell him that I'll
need to pass and thank him for his time.
Leo (need a link please)

He's since took the picture down, but this was the auction he refused the return on

This is the coin I was thinking of buying
The price is over $700 now, so I didn't bid (yet?). Looks like a nice coin.

I'm sorry to put it this way, but you must need it to be a little plainer to you.
I hope you bid and get screwed for a second time.
Why? Because you'd have to be a complete and total f***ing idiot to get screwed the first time and then consider doing it again. Despite unanimous agreement that you should NOT buy from this seller again, you are still considering it.
At what point will the wheel in your head start turning and common sense start flowing again?
Damn, I am slow, but.........

he says he turned me into Safe Harbor and sent me a copy of their alleged response to him...also,he said he would leave feedback for me that was "appropriate" depending on the feedback i left for him...
i never heard a word from Safe Harbor and left him "neutral positive" feedback...
thus far he has left no feedback for me...and that's just fine and "appropriate"...i was thinking of contacting Safe Harbor myself to see if this seller actually did complain to Safe Harbor about my "threat" but have concluded that, by their silence if they were contacted by the seller, have tacitly agreed with me that i have effectively made a case for "deserved" negative feedback...

You can threaten people with a neg if you aren't happy and the other person didn't want to resolve it. Let the jerk turn you into SH. What are they going to say? They just copy/paste pre-written comments.
Based on comments I've made about scumbag eBayers in this and other forums, I've probably been told by them 10 times that they turned me into SH. Never once did I get anything from SH or ever care. I usually tell them I'm laughing at them.
You should have left him an honest neg. There is nothing wrong with leaving an honest neg. If he hits you back, so be it. You can get it removed.
if i had been contacted by Safe Harbor i would have explained to them that my so-called threat of leaving negative feedback was not necessarily inclusive of ebay's feedback tool...a careful reading of my 2nd email to the seller after he emailed me implying that i can't read shows this...
anyway, this particular ebay seller has lost potential sales to me and has been so advised...
i learned from this experience that it can be very useful to check feedback from other buyers before dealing with some of these sellers...this can be time-consuming reading back in all the feedback looking for clues about how one,as a buyer, might be treated by a seller but well worth the effort i think...
btw,the "neutral positive" was for "fast shipping" and the coins i received were described by me very matter-of-factly which should give other possible buyers a clue that they shouldn't expect anything special in the way of customer satisfaction from this particular seller...
it's a mistake for a seller to imply that his buyers "can't read (auction description) with understanding"...sellers who use "less than honest" wording in their auctions and prove "less than honest" by sending the "proof" inferior coins out can expect a one-on-one feedback session with me...
