I love to look at cool coins. Especially when they're available for sale. Seen any?
Show 'em to me! Please!

I know you're not into moderns - but here's a pretty good find for me this weekend!

Hey kid - my favorite coin that I own is the 1834 Bust Quarter in NGC proof 67. As far as what would I own if i could put my hands
on anything......
well, that's tough but here's some coins that come to mind -- Parrino sold his wreath cent in ms 68 red, but if that coin ever became available and reasonably priced, that would be tough to top.....
uncirculated colonials are high on my list....
most anything before 1836 sparks my interest......
i just bought my first connecticut copper but in fairly low grade - i like the little sun poking his head above the horizon.....
I also love spectacularly toned anythings.....i just bought a barber qtr in ngc ms 66 that is really wickedly cool with yellow green and orange toning...good images are eluding me thus far...hard to capture the beauty because the it's the mixture of color and luster that make it so cool.
Other hightlights are available here (the full catalog hasn't been added to Ebay's Live Auctions yet).
three degree coin (my jargon) - a coin that looks cool when you hold it just right......only looks cool at three degress of movement or
orientation.
Proof coins are especially prone to being three degree coins.
I just bought a seated half in 65 that will knock your eyeballs onto the floor.....but only at three degrees
snake.
That sucks! Thanks for giving me the heads up on this guy.

Your chain cent is pretty cool even though it's a low grade.

<< <i>Hey Keifer - I once saw a set of coins that was intentionally as low grade and/or damaged as possible. It was an interesting accumulation

Sounds like the Bradick PO01 collection!
At the last show over in Grapevine, I picked up 2 neatly toned Half Dimes from Win. An 1838 No Drapery and an 1871, both nicely toned. Of the 2 pieces, could one get a decent scan of this side of the 1871:
Pan Pac Obv (Large)
Pan Pac Rev (Large)
1938 10c PCGS PR67
I love Carvers, and the 51 P is really tough nice, in the higher grades.

Clank: I love the Carver!!!
Nice coins everyone.
Happy holidays,

I got this 1869 Shield 5c proof ANACS-65
It's a nice coin, but one of those you have to look at in a special angle to see the colors.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
