I didn't read the auction description so I don't know if they state it, however, have you ever asked them what they want for the coin?

Bwuahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! You know, after that many times the seller might get the message that his reserve is higher than market value.

Most I have gone is three then e-mailed the seller and told him my max bid and he took it.

I've run across their stuff from time to time. They always claim to have numerous listings starting at 7.77 and no reserve. I've never run across any without a reserve. Their shipping is "MINIMUM 7.00". That, in my book, is a ripoff on an inexpensive coin.
  • I purchased an MS66 Morgan from them that was VERY nice. I e-mailed them and they agreed to reduce the shipping to $4. I think maybe if you send them an e-mail and ask what they will take for the coin - delivered - you may just buy it.

Why don't you just email him an offer?

Buy the time the seller actually sells it, the money he gets will barely pay what eBay has already nickled and dimed him out of.

That's funny. The only thing I can figure is that he thinks you are eventually going to up your bid enough. He's probably wondering what's taking you so long. image

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • Jeesh Dog he should just GIVE you the coin based upon your persistance. image

You'd think he'd get a clue and email you by now..

    Got Morgan?

  • Dog, you quit chasing CATS, and get back to doing what you do best,(coins) you will win this Barber....LOL

I never even thought about contacting the seller. I can live without it but I have gotten into the habit of bidding on it for some reason. I probably bid the reserve but nobody else upped my max enough to meet it.

  • Actually if you bid over the reserve, you would know it immediately... the current bid will jump to the reserve price. Good luck with try #6! image

Oh does it? I thought another bidder had to bid & make it raise my proxy to the reserve.

  • Nope. Bid $10,000 next time and prove it for yourself. image

I'll take your word for it. image
Since I didn't make reserve the reserve is obviously set too high.

  • Very simple solution...email the seller and ask what the reserve is...end of problem. Twowood
