Everytime I see an interesting thread and I get on to say something sage, informed and wise, two or three other people have already gotten on and said it, better than I would would have. My post count's slowing down badly!
Anybody else feel my pain?
Merry Christmas, by the way, in case nobody else has thought to say THAT

As I see it, the only solution is to start your own threads - which will keep your post count up!
Check out the Southern Gold Society
Even though your posts might be a little late, I still enjoy reading them, so write them anyway.

lots of hits so just go to page threee or four. By the time they get here all the ob-
vious things have been said and you can take your time with the less obvious. It's
really painful when some really good points get in right behind someone who posts
the same thing or worse yet something entirely contradictory in a well thought out
way. Also go for the threads with low post totals so the odds are better. I find log-
ging in at 3:00 AM helps too. If none of these work you can always go post on the
GCD forum. Good Luck!
Also you can just make many points in a single post so one should be fresh and don't
forget the edit function- - it's a life saver if you say something stupid or redundant or
fail to say something fresh.

Or, you could post without reading the other replies.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

It also makes you look smart when you quote something wise.

As a very slow typist, I have given up on trying to be the first respondent to a post. I try to make up for it by providing witty, incisive, comments! Of course, I still need to work on that too...
