Question Regarding PQ

shame on me, but I have seen this "designation" often, but don't have a clue what it means, and if it is an official designation. I seem to see it a lot as it relates to Peace Dollars.

Question being, I see a number of certified Peace Dollars (which I am buying) on ebay and the headline will read MS64PQ. On that basis, I would assume it is similar to FBL or FS or FB or W, yet I have yet to see it printed on teh slab of any of teh coins advertised as such. Is it an "official" designation, or a seller's self-promoting bs?

Thanks Russ. I had kinda figured the Premium Quality partm but resisted the temptation to make myself look stupid in case it stood for something else.

Back to part of the question - is it actually a designation sich as FBL (calm down Lucy), FS or W?

My understanding of PQ is a coin that rates high for its grade. ie a 64 that is almost a 65 or exceptional eye appeal for the grade.

Even though it appears on some PCI slabs, no, it's not technically a designation.
