Crooked coin in holder.

I saw an auction on ebay for a proof coin. The coin is turned alot in its holder. Does PCGS actually seal the holder seeing that the coin is rotated that much? How would a coin rotate in its holder? It doesn't look very good in a displyed collection. Is this truly how some get sealed? Ebay item #3300839389

I have yet to encounter a turned coin in a PCGS holder that I couldn't get back in a straight position with some gentle, yet solid tapping of lower holder rim corner against a hard object. With the old rattler's it's easy. Problem is if you breath on them, they rotate again, so what's the point. The new ones are tougher, but it can be done.

A couple of my Walkers in old rattlers are turned around. I think it's kind of cool.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe PCGS will reholder it at no charge if it is that far off.

Outhaul, you are correct. David Hall says that they will re-holder them for free. I do it at the Long Beach show when I'm there. It is reasonably easy to rotate them yourself by tapping on a hard surface on one corner though.
