just my type, however, when I see coins like this, I can't help but ask "why hasn't this coin been certified?"
I bought a Morgan like this a few months ago, and was ready to send it in for grading the next day. When I took it to a local shop for them to submit it, I found out why it wasn't certified.
Had to chase the guy I bought it from down like a hound for three days. Three weeks later, he had his "lightly cleaned" coin back, and I had my money.

Thanks for the link there Cameron, I'm going to have to just sit back and just watch this one at this time, oh well others will show up later down the road.I just thought if there are others interested, it was a good deal for them.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing for your relatives.
It's not so much the "why" (it's not in a holder) but the "all sales final......no returns" and " mo and cashiers checks only" that bothers me.
If there are truely no problems with this coin I think it's in the sellers best interest to sell it raw.....a borderline coin at the big money. Their are alot of people who will bid this one up thinking 65 and it very well may be.....hard to tell from the scan but it appears to be a very nice Peace dollar. Just to risky for me to buy ANYTHING off of Ebay without a return policy but alot of people do......
Did you guys notice this seller also has what appears to be a very nice three-legged Buffalo? I'm with Frank, why aren't these coins slabbed? He could make a hell of a lot bigger return if they were. I'm not believing for a minute that he's willing to leave that kind of money on the table unless there's some kind of problem.
Hmmm I think I would chance it with this seller if I were interested in his offerings. He has sold a few other unslabbed coins (including another 3-legged buff)and has gained positive feedback on these pieces. I would email him asking for the reason as to why he is not offering a return policy before I bid, however.
If every good coin were already in a holder, then PCGS & NGC would be virtually out of business, now wouldn't they? If all the grading services had was cross-over & re-grade business, then they could run it out of 3 room office.
I'm making no judgements about this particular coin. In fact, I haven't even looked at it yet. I just take exception to the ridiculous argument that if it were any good, it would be in a holder. There are SOOO many monster raw coins carefully stored in safes & safety deposit boxes around this country, that were they sold they could fund a small banana republic.
