1955 mint set pics (as promised)

Here are two different franks still in their place since 1955 and one quarter for good measure. I think I may have figured out how to capture color in the pics. Note, these are unaltered pics (no photoshop manipulation)

They are quite stunning in person. There's a little voice behind me saying slab the franks and sell for $500 but there's a bigger voice saying enjoy it because quality is not an easy thing to find.
  • Man, I thought that I would get in before Lucy!!! No Chance! What a beautiful coin! Frankie on his best behavior.

I think Franklin twins would like to get situated in their new home first before going on a field trip. image
  • Neil--
Beautiful coins, and great pictures too.

Some of the Frankies in the 57 set I got from Don, are real beautiful like that. What's Don think he's doing running around sending us all these beautiful coins? image Again, here's to ajaan.

Great coins. I'll bet the whole set is nice.

  • I've bought lots of older 1700's/1800's copper from Don/ajaan... always been very happy. When he is offering coins for sale, it is worth looking!

    Nice coins nwcs!

Very nice! You know even people who like Blast White can appreciate toned coins. Some of the beauty of these toned coins can slowly convert people like me.image

Some of the other coins in this set are still white. But I made the decision not to slab these. I'm going to find a nice holder to put them in to stop the toning and leave them as-is. The only series I'm interested in slabs for are morgans and types. These are beautiful coins. My only regret is not buying all the sets he had to offer. image But it's good that other people are getting to enjoy quality coins. I'm going to keep these for a long time.
