Wish me luck, my first Frankies ever are now on their way to PCGS.

Invoice #3038415 has these two puppies on it:

Since I have no idea how to grade a Franklin, I'm using the WAG method and looking for 67CAM on both.

This should be an interesting invoice, since it also has some wild neon rainbow toners that I pulled from a '64 proof set.image

You should have them back next year image
  • Lucy Bop has worked her Franklin mojo on Russ. The same way he lead many astray on this board about proof JFK's... there is a raw justice in that.

Nah, Clankeye, I just need one for my modern proof type set, and it's more fun to make it than it is to buy it.image I'll unload the other one.

  • Good luck Russ!

Did you send in the toned nickel too? I assume you sent in that toned proof set you posted about earlier this weekend...

Yep, sent the four coins. The penny was untoned, so it's in a tube. I'm also going to call Charlie with a heads up about this invoice to try and reduce the odds of a body bag for the toners. They are very wild, and I'm worried the graders are going to nuke them.

Good call. Sometimes a very light coating of PVC can be mistaken for that type of "wild neon" toning on that Kennedy you SCANNED yesterday.
A well placed phone call may allow these coins to escape the bodybag.

Well, the wild ones (and the boring old Franklins) have landed. Now, the wait.
