I think Mark needs to write a post explaining why monster-toned, PCGS-slabbed, supergrade state quarters are the best investment vehicle of all time, and flame anyone who looks back to 1989 and beyond. He needs to accuse anyone who questions his assessment of being an obsolete, elitist classical coin collector and go on to explain that all the past rules about collecting and investing are out the window because we have entered a brave new world. It is imperative that he squeal like a stuck pig and play the victim of a vast classical coin collector conspiracy to destroy the value of his collection. He needs to dismiss NGC as second rate and extol the virtues of the PCGS Set Registry program. He must end his post by challenging us to guess the grade of his new pop 1 Missouri quarter.
That would make a truly unique post and bring a much needed breath of fresh air to this forum.

Great idea! But for Coinguy1 to make such a post his tongue must be planted firmly in cheek, and we still don't have that icon. He would also have to point out that no one could have fun collecting such junk and it should be bought for investment reasons only. :@) Just thinkin'.
Yep, the idea behind the pop 1 Missouri quarter is that it would be a pop 1 coin even in MS-62.
He could go the other way and write that Morgan dollars in MS-66 are the greatest bargain right now because they're so much cheaper than they were in 1989.
The contest has officially ended, and Coinguy1 has announced that the winner is... Jay/Wisconsin! Congratulations to Jay.
For a further explanation about why Jay's question was judged the winner please see Mark's new thread which is his 1001st post!
It is a truly good piece of work, filled with all the insight, knowledge and good humor that I have come to expect from him. I look forward to his next 1000 posts.
Again, congratulations to Jay, and to everyone else who responded to the thread. Great ideas, good fun.
Jay, as for the "mystery coin" part of the contest. Mr. Feld has your mailing address and you can keep a look out for it in the mail. The only rule about "the Mystery Coin" is that it must remain a mystery. A very mysterious coin, indeed.
