    Is it one of those deals where you have to go shirtless and paint your upper body in OSU colors to go to the game?

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    Tell her you went to the Fiesta Bowl and then when you supposedly go to it, you can spend a couple days at the Hotel Six down the road with your "new" Chain Cent. But don't let your wife know of this affair and for that matter, I never even suggested it. If she finds out you'll be living at a Hotel Six. Seriously though, she seems pretty nice to OK the trip to the Fiesta Bowl.

    Goose go for the chain!! Tell her it is a metaphor for her chain around your heart... ( not ball and chain of course!)

    Be romantic, tell her if you go the the F bowl this year you may have to go every year and in this way the Chain will seen much cheaper!!

    This might be the last time Ohio State plays for the Championship until the year 2059 and you wil be how old then???? Lord knows, Woody Hayes the VI might be the head coach by then?????? Yikes!

    There will be lots more Chain cents between now and 2059.

    Go Ohio State!!!

    (Staying in a Motel 6 with a good TV is not going to save you enogh $$ to buy that Chain Cent anyway??)

    Ten years from now the Fiesta Bowl will be a memory at best, and the Chain Cent will be worth more then than it is now. Some wives just don't understand that this one hobby where you can have fun AND make money. Most hobbies are just a drain on the wallet.

    I bought a Chain cent about 15 years ago. I could at least double my money on it now.

    Are you a Huricanes fan or an Ohio fan? I went to the Fiesta bowl last year. It was tremendous fun and we beat the heck out of Colorado. You will have great fun, the new years party is the largest one I have ever been to. Get your room ASAP.

    Forget it. Get the Chain cent. Tell her you're not spending the money on somegame that you can watch on TV for free. You're buying the Chain cent and years from now when you want to retire, this will have been a good investment.

    Which is rarest:

    1) A Chain Cent
    2) Ohio State playing for a National Chamionship
    3) A Campus Riot at Columbus ( whether they win or not )

    I live in Ohio and have several relatives that graduated from Ohio State. So I`m not trying to put down Ohio State, it is a very fine school and I know the campus like the back of my hand. People here have very high demands academically as well as thier football at Ohio State. It`s just after many upsetting games over the years, when it comes to the "Big" games, you definitely don`t count your chickens before they hatch. Thank heavens they finally got rid of John Cooper.

    Go for both...the cent is a better investment....each link in the chain reflects one of the 13 things you love about her.....you'll have the cent AND the bowl if you play your cards right.

    It's not the kind of cent you have to get a second mortgage for, is it??
