Guess the cost: the price is up

In a earlier post jbsteven asked how much I payed for this coin?How about some guesses before I give out that infomation. What would you expect to pay or what would you offer for this coin? It is not for sale, just thought I would get an idea from different people.

Edit: I'm having a hard time being serious today. It's a beautiful coin and in truth I would not know how much it should cost.

Considering the coverage on the obverse, definition of colors and grade of coin I would say $175-$200

total coverage of the obverse would be a much higher price.

edited price upwards a little

I can see it going for $1200 on ebay. But I'm going to guess $500.

$200. I'm also guessing the colors aren't nearly as vibrant in person since the brightness of the photo has been tweaked up so much.

Green is a great color on a Morgan and with the right luster underneath I'd go with the $350.00 range. Without the luster and just the color I'd go for a little less than half that.

Greg That picture is not touched at all. believe it or not the coin is actually more lustorous than the picture. That picture was taken with a 35mm camera and the film was put on a disk. That is the original picture. no reworking whats so ever. Honest to God!!!!!

If I was to sell it on ebay I think I would put a $300 reserve on it and hope to get more. It is really nice and I don't think $500 would be out of the question. Mike

Bought it for $200.00. Some pretty good guesses out there. I would have payed a little more for it, but was happy to get it. I have that coin in a PCGS 66 holder with end roll toning, but just could not pass on this one. If you could see just how vivid the colors are in real life you would be amazed.
