You must love history to appreciate this.

I have been looking for a high grade PL example for a number of years. The portrait is incredible.
I don't say this out of admiration, but strictly from a historic perspective. Notice the fasces on the reverse. I have Roman coins with fasces as well, remember the Mercury dime anyone?
This one is awesome. I know the seller.

  • Now there is an interesting coin. Put him in an American helmet, and you've got a deadringer for George C. Scott.

You are right, they resemble each other. WOW!

    Brian.
  • I hope he packages yours better than he did the coins I bought from him were. I bought several world mint sets, and a few other singles, and they were sent from China in plastic baggies, all banging around with each other. These were all Choice Uncirculated to Gem Uncirculated coins also, BTW, they made it here with quite a few more hits than what I can imagine they were sent looking like.

I bought from him before and it was packaged perfectly in 2x2 holders.
Sorry you had the bad experience with him, maybe he learned his lesson.

    Best wishes,
    Brian.
