I have been brought to the nether world of toning by Morris.

I did it. I bought my first ever toned coin. A pr69 64 Jeff. The toning is really to subtle to post a pick. The bright light washes it out. But in average lighting the coin is a champagne color with the devices being an ice blue. I really like the toning. This is the only coin that I really like that is toned. I will be looking for a few more to add to this one. Ireally like the is type of toning that seems to be prevalent on these nickels. Am I correct that by and large that this seems to occur in mostly the 64 nickels. I know Carl has a 40`s nickel but the 64 seems more common. Thanks Morris. I think image

  • Well, congratulations coinrookie. Glad you got a coin you like. Be careful with the toning thing, though. It can grab you hard and not let go. You may soon find yourself chasing coins with all different manner of toning on them. It can be addictive. Good luck, and have fun.

DEFINITELY true! And once you get locked into the emotional side of buying them, you'll find yourself out of money really quick!
